In the latest episode of the Political Potatoes podcast, I sat down with Heath Druzin to delve into the pressing issue of Christian nationalism and its growing influence in American politics, particularly in Idaho.

Christian Nationalism is an ideology that seeks to merge Christianity with national identity, advocating for a vision of America as a Christian nation where laws and policies reflect specific religious values. This belief often overlaps with dominionism, the idea that certain Christians are divinely mandated to take control of all aspects of society, including government, to enforce biblical law. Together, these ideologies blur the line between church and state, posing a significant threat to religious freedom and democratic principles by promoting an exclusionary view of what it means to be an American.

In Idaho, Christian Nationalist organizations are increasingly influencing far-right political movements, making it essential for voters to understand the implications.

To help us better understand this threat, we're joined by Heath Druzin, a seasoned journalist and the creator of the Extremely American podcast series. Heath's extensive experience investigating the rise of extremist movements in America gives him a unique perspective that helps us explore why Christian Nationalism is something we must pay close attention to.
