What is causing our Congressmen to refuse to do the right, the constitutional, thing? It must be fear, but of what? It takes a brave person to stand up to bullies in order to protect our rights. So it follows that these are not brave men. Or is it possible they support Trump’s and Musk’s actions? That they don’t see the danger to democracy?
Simply put, Jim Jones is one of those people who you can’t find fault with. From his military service to his service in our court system, he is a true patriot who will never shrink from his duty in calling out the traitors in our country.
His plain-spoken commentaries reach out to those of us who are unfamiliar with legal jargon.
Thank you Jim Jones for your insightful wisdom. I came from Germany when I was 5 years old with my parents. Germany was in a sad state after World War 2. There was not a lot of opportunity for work, so my parents came to the land of opportunity-America. I have lived here now for 71 years and I am fearful that we are headed to the same fate as Germany during the rise of Hitler.
The Constitution was centered around no one person or entity having absolute power. We have the judicial, executive, and legislative branches of government created just to be a check and balance-each with their separate powers. Trump is way overstepping his power. If he is not reined in we will all be living under a dictatorship. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Think about that for your children and grandchildren. Do you want them living under conditions where fear rules their lives? Is that what you want for them? Then do nothing and say nothing and you will be condoning the destruction of our democracy.
Thanks for speaking out against the illegal actions being taken by the Executive branch. 2025 was written to undo our democracy. Now it's happening and the people and even Congress are ignoring it!
Excellent article by a true statesman, Mr. Jim Jones. He very accurately described the shirking of solemn vows. I agree that Idaho's Congressmen have abandoned their duties. Shame on them for not standing up and objecting to Trumps illegal and unconstitutional actions. This feels like a coup.
I had previously contacted my senators because I was concerned about Trump's pardoning of the 1500 insurrectionists that attacked the Capitol on January 6th, 2021. One of the replies I received was chilling. The senator called the insurrectionists political prisoners, and said that the Biden Administration owned the DOJ and the DOJ was out to jail political enemies. I responded that the insurrectionists were not political prisoners. They were tried, convicted, and sentenced in a court of law. The insurrectionists that desecrated that beautiful facility deserved the sentences that they received. The senator was much closer to the things that happened that day than I was. I only saw it on television and I was horrified.
Wow. Just read the rant from Kat Jones. It sounded like Trump’s rants…rambling, “weaving”, full of mis and dis information. What is CAID? You make accusations without a scintilla of fact. Wow.
Jim Jones on the other hand is factual. Trump and our congressmen swore to uphold the constitution and they have completely broken that promise by standing by while Trump runs rough shod over the constitution! If you disagree with something in our country you have the right to speak but you don’t have the right to be lawless!
So your part of those who get kickbacks from C.A.I.D.? YOU OBVIOUSLY don't care about the actual abuse & fraud & theft that's being discovered.
You care more about Trans. Sex changes in central & S. America than the food on your neighbors table.
It's beyond time this country got a good house cleaning.

There isn't a nation out there as great as this one. Is it perfect? Of course not, it's full of imperfect people like me & you. We are blessed because GOD put us here whit this kind of government. & right now our president sees a need to clean house. So be like a good citizen and clean your own back yard before you have someone poking around in your mess looking for the waste, abuse, & fraud that you might have going on.

Pay attention to our government & how the leaders are swayed by outsiders wanting to do land grabs for profit that's NOT beneficial for our people.
We need to protect our farmers not run them off the land. Taxes, water restrictions, killing our animals because someone comes along with a scare of some flu or mad cow disease is wrong. Most of the time that someone has selfish reasons to kill the hreds & flocks like that. Population control is not a good reason. We have lot of land. But its tied up in government control. Not just idaho. All across our nation is good land. We don't need to steal it, we just need to properly use it.
If you want to whine & complain go after the people that are poisoning our land with pesticides & weed killers. Look at the centuries we had crops without all the chemicals. Now we're killing ourselves with the very things that kill the bugs & weeds.
I live in the panhandle. Since I have been here we have had a year of flea Beatles, a year with good bees & other pollinators, & grasshoppers. We got good harvests in spite of the bugs. We grow organic.
I love it here. You people who don't like how the president is doing things need to pull your heads out & see if we the people want to primary you out. Or better yet how about we call for you to be audited. Maybe we can get D.O.G.E. to come and clean our state & fed.books. That sounds like a great idea. I think I will ask, what do you think?
